Dual accolade for Goodman
26 October 2009
Rainton Bridge, the Sunderland business park, which is owned and managed by international property group Goodman, has triumphed at the Northumbria in Bloom Awards to win the Best Business Park Award.
The Britain in Bloom campaign is organised by The Royal Horticultural Society, and Northumbria in Bloom is the voluntary regional organisation that administers the Britain in Bloom competition in Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear and Teeside.
Doxford International Business Park in Sunderland, which is also managed by Goodman, was awarded a gold medal, giving Goodman a double accolade for its achievement in landscaping and the improvement of public and private land.
Both locations were praised by the judges for improving the environment for local residents, encouraging tourism and businesses to come to the North East, and developing community spirit and a pride in the local environment.
James Raven, Development Director of Goodman’s UK Business Parks, said: “Goodman consistently strives to provide high quality working environments for the companies that choose to locate onto our parks. We also ensure our business locations enhance the local environment and these awards are testimony to our success.”
Located between Sunderland and Durham, the 22 hectare Rainton Bridge provides grade A business space with access to a range of local amenities all within a carefully landscaped setting. The park caters from small high growth companies in the Park's Evolve Innovation Centre right through to corporate giants Npower, who have announced their intention to relocate onto Rainton Bridge in early 2010. High quality office accommodation is available from 2,500 sq ft to 90,000sq.ft.
Doxford International Business Park is a prestigious 50 hectare business park situated close to Sunderland and within easy access of other major cities in the North East. Around 8,000 people are employed there, working for world-class companies such as Barclays, T-Mobile and Nike.
